This section addresses the evaluation of apprenticeship activities undertaken by the learner, which is a key responsibility of a mentor. The apprenticeship period is a key part of a learner’s education programme and needs to be adequately and fairly assessed. Being the person most closely involved with the learner during the apprenticeship and also being the most knowledgeable about the activities undertaken during this period, the mentor is the main person responsible for the evaluation process. It is hereby in particular important to look into the question of what evidence should be used for the assessment process of the apprentice, which is further explained under To Watch

- Check with the education centre contact/apprentice supervisor if there are ready-made forms available for collecting evidence of the activities and learning undertaken by the apprentice.
- If no ready-made form is available, create a personal form for collecting evidence throughout the apprenticeship period.
