Who are we?

CIFP DON BOSCO LHII is a Vocational Training Institution located in Errenteria , Gipuzkoa (Basque Country) Spain.

CIFP Don Bosco LHII is a state Vocational Training College that belongs to the Basque Government Education System. The mission of CIFP Don Bosco is to provide students with quality training based on human values. We work to guarantee the acquisition of technical, personal and social skills.

At present 800 students are enrolled in full-time studies and around 500 are expected in part-time training for the employment courses. 130 teachers and 12 people in administration work full time.

CIFP Don Bosco provides Initial Vocational Training (EQF4) in Electromechanics, Car painting, Chemical Plant, Soldering, Heating and Refrigeration and Telecommunication Installations. Short- Cycles (EQF5) in Motor Vehicle, Laboratory Analysis and Quality Control, Industrial Chemistry, Industrial Mechatronics, Metal Structures work, Electronic Maintenance and Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning.

We take part in many Innovation Projects such as: 3D printing prosthetics, Nano cellulose, Smart Space, aquatic drones, Car telediagnosis and, especially in the area of methodology (New learning scenarios, Creative routines, Competitive intelligence, collaborative learning…).

CIFP Don Bosco LHII works hand in hand with Tknika, member of Unesco’s UNEVOC network and the centre promoted by the Deputy Ministry of Vocational Education and Training of the Education Department of the Basque Government which leads the internationalisation strategy for Euskadi vocational training.

Why we are Participating in the Project

CIFP Don Bosco LHII includes  in its strategic plan 2016-2020 the target of  improving the quality  of  apprenticeships,  to  training our  students in the transition from the school  to  the labor market ,  offering  them  the necessary tools for a good transitioning to their professional lives.

We consider essential the possibility of offering a good training tool to mentors.

Our Role in the Project

CIFP Don Bosco LHII, as a Higher Vocational and Education institution, can contribute to the project with the expertise in work placements management. We collaborate directly with companies and have signed more than 300 agreements with local companies. Every school year around 350 students carry out the on the job training module for three months. We have a close relationship with mentors and companies and collaborate hand in hand with Basque Employers’ Associations such as Confebask or Adegi.

Jon Artola, born February 28th 1977, in Zarautz, is single and has a son. He is graduated in Engineering at Mondragón University. Today he is a Head of the Mechatronics Department at CIFP Don Bosco LHII, Errenteria, Gipuzkoa. Currently he is involved in several projects dealing with leadership, entrepreneurship and innovation.

Rosa Benito Habans, born July 31st 1963, in San Sebastian, is married and has 2 daughters. She is graduated in English Philology at Basque Country University. Today he is a Head of the Internationalisation Area in CIFP Don Bosco , Errenteria, Gipuzkoa. Currently she is managingl European projects: Erasmus KA102, KA103 and PyireneFP

Simon Rodriguez, born September 15th 1960, in San Sebastian, is married and has two sons. He is graduated in Engineering at the Basque Country University. Today he is a Head of the Financial Department at CIFP Don Bosco LHII, Errenteria, Gipuzkoa.
